Exciting News: My Book Is Now Available
I’m thrilled to share that my book, Essays From Afar: 700 Days of the Diaspora Experience Since October 7, is now available for purchase on Amazon - just in time for the holidays.
Though I hope to have an in-person event sometime in the future to launch this book and to talk about future projects, I could not help but make this announcement now, especially in advance of the holidays and the forthcoming second anniversary of 10/7.
This collection brings together the essays I’ve written over the past two years since 10/7, reflecting on Israel, Jewish life in the Diaspora, and the ever-shifting challenges and hopes that define our community. My goal is to keep the conversations going about how the world and our community has changed since that fateful day.
I want to thank all of you - my readers, supporters, friends, and family - for encouraging me to put these words into the world. Your feedback, your conversations, and your care have been the engine behind this project.
I hope this book serves as a meaningful companion during the season ahead, the High Holidays, and I look forward to continuing the journey with you here on Catch.
Also, a big thank you to my sister-in-law Michelle Jacobs, from kissmyart.ca for help designing the beautiful cover, and to Rabbi Menachem Creditor of New York for assistance in actually putting the book together. Proceeds from book sales will be going to One Family Fund, to help families impacted by terror in Israel.
With gratitude,
Adam
