I'm angry and glad

Angry was has happened to Canada, a once great country who has turned their backs on a true democracy

Glad I'm in Israel watching from afar.

Hillel Fuld says we are in the early 1930's in Canada.

It might be time to leave

In the meantime, keep fighting!!

Earlier this century we were living in quiet Thornhill. I had a premonition - a feeling of uneasiness. We bought an apartment in Israel and moved ten years ago. So thankful our kids are not living in that hate fest. Now people ask me how I knew….

Once the government tacitly supports the Jew haters you know the country is done. The US still has a chance. Only time will tell if they take it.

Call the "liars" out immediately, because their unsubstantiated reporting just inflames the situation. To have the press retract their statements after the fact is pointless. The damage has been done.

You strongly express our anger, building our resolve to fight back, and then you go soft with “we love Canada” mush. Took the wind right out of our sails. What a let down. It’s time to talk about putting our brain power, donations and investments into building up our homeland of Israel rather than the Canada that clearly still feels that ‘none is too many.’ Time to talk about the exit doors.

I also loved it. My kids are fourth generation Canadians.

Yet I had a swastika drawn on my locker at UofT and was ridiculed by the dorm administrators for my adherence to kashrut.

This was in 1990.

I am so thankful my husband respected my “gut instincts” and ten years ago we made Aliyah with four teens.
