I enjoyed learning about that book published in 1929 by French writer Edmond Fleg. Like Walter Benjamin, I share your love of old books and first editions. I also enjoy the "time travel" inherent in a book written when, what for us in the Present is the Past, about what for them in the Past was the Future. I am centring some of my research on the year 1936, reading books published in that momentous year, with the outbreak of the Arab Revolt in British Mandatory Palestine, the Berlin Olympics, and so much more.
your article grabbed my attention well written and salient-Thanks
How fortuitous to find such a book!
The challenges for us Jews will continue forever, but we will always overcome and be a light to the world. Good article Ad! Well written!
Lots of food for thought. Thanks Adam.
